The ACE Project brings together 16 universities and 4 organisations from 6 South American and 4 European countries
Universities participate in the project through their work in Institutional Subject-Specific ACE Units (South-American ACE Universities) and inter-institutional Subject Area Groups (SAGs) (all ACE Universities). Universities are responsible for achieving the project academic outputs and contributing to the project dissemination, exploitation and sustainability-related activities.
Non-University partners take part in project meetings and focus on achieving ACE dissemination, exploitation and sustainability outputs.

ACE Units are institutional ACE teams made up of academics and students that work on the different project tasks and activities in order to
Ensure the highest possible quality and relevance of all the outputs created in international inter-institutional Subject Area Groups – that these jointly-created Reference Frameworks, Repositories of Good practice, and other SAG products take into account all the national and institutional perspectives, build on the strengths and inputs of every institution, and are useful for the different institutional contexts and compatible with the different national regulations,
Enhance own educational programmes to be in line with internationally-recognised key principles of student-centred higher education design
Initiate or complement institutional efforts of promoting a strong institutional culture of student-centred higher education

STRATEGIC PARTNERS (non-university partners) will also have a key role to play in contributing to the success of the project.
There are four such partners in ACE, three from South America and one from the EU.

support universities, SAGs and the project on the whole at political level, offering advice and helping to engage Ministries of Education, Rectors’ Conferences, as well as many more academics, representatives of university authorities, along with other relevant educational organisations and policy makers in a common dialogue.
The non-university partners’ contribution will help to ensure the quality of the project outputs, and even more importantly, the dissemination, successful exploitation and the general sustainability of the enhancement initiated by the project participants.
The European association Education for Interdependent World (EDIW): an international non-profit association with headquarters in Brussels, and extensive international experience in designing and implementing outcomes-based learner-centred educational programmes will support SAGs and ACE Universities by providing expert and independent feedback on the products and processes at various stages of the project.
QUALITY ASSURANCE BOARD (QAB)

The Quality Assurance Board will support SAGs, ACE Universities and the project work in general by providing expert and independent feedback on the products and processes at various stages of the project.
DISSEMINATION BOARD (DISS)

Dissemination Board: initially formed by the representatives of the three South American non-university partners
– Ministerio de Educación – Argentina;
– Associação Brasileira de Educação Internacional – Brazil;
– Asociacion Colombiana de Universidades – Colombia.
Can be complemented by representatives of all partner countries – in line with the Dissemination Plan proposed by the core group by the First General Meeting. The Dissemination Board works to ensure that stakeholders beyond the ACE Consortium are informed about the project developments and are, later on, made aware of all the Project Outputs so as to facilitate and support successful exploitation of the ACE outputs beyond the project consortium and lifetime.
MANAGEMENT TEAM (MT)

The Management Team (MT) is made up of members of the University of Groningen (RUG), the coordinating institution of the ACE Project:

The Management Team is responsible for coordinating the work of University and Strategic Partners, for organizing the timeline of the project academic work at each stage of the project. MT is also responsible for coordinating the project dissemination activities and the financial management of the project, including the preparation of reports required by the funding agency.
